Alfred the Great 849-899 A. D. (Matthew Trewhella)

"My greatest desire in preaching this sermon is that you might see how one man governs his life can impact the lives of countless millions for generations to come, even in many nations. Most Christians have never heard of Alfred the Great. This sermon gives a summary of his life. This sermon repudiates the idea that Christianity should have nothing to do with the governance of nations. This sermon adds to the ongoing discussion of building a Christian society. This sermon ends with a scathing denunciation of Pietism."
